How much money do you spend on portions of the government
With President Trump in office and a new Tax Bill imminent, I thought it would be insightful to visualize how much an individual's taxes go towards prior and proposed changes.
It was meant to visualize in a simple format where your money may go. It is meant to showcase some of the differences presented in the propsed 2018 budget. The estimate is based off of the IRS's Projection of Federal Tax Return Filings.
It is estimated there will be $1.63 Trillion collected from Individual Income Taxes for 2018, out of $3.37 Trillion in Revenue for the Federal Government. The Federal Government is expected to spend an additional $465 Billion which makes the tally for total spending at $3.76 Trillion.
